The main focus of this insurance rebuild was creating a new design that would maximize the sites spectacular views over the sea and Southern alps.

Another major consideration was the incorporation of a space that could be used for the owner’s home business, while remaining versatile for future owners to utilise as a more traditional family home.  The ultimate result is a modern, architectural level home that perfectly meets the specific needs of the owners.

The exterior cladding is a striking combination of Cedar shiplap weatherboards with vertical battens, Titanboard fibre cement and exposed block.  Kwila decking, tinted glass balustrades, Flatline sectional garage doors, expansive glazed areas and a coloured exposed aggregate driveway complete the exterior.

Inside the design focuses on modern, clean lines with open plan living that takes advantage of the views and sun.  The first floor contains the living, kitchen and dining area, and a generous master suite.  The ground floor incorporates a triple car garage, media room and bedroom with ensuite.  This space has been designed to allow easy conversion to a self-contained unit with separate access if desired in the future.  Provision for a future lift has been incorporated to ensure the home will continue to meet the owner’s requirement well into their retirement years.  Finally a separate wing with two rooms and toilet currently serves the needs of the owner’s home business, and in the future could serve as two further bedrooms creating a four bedroom, two bathroom and four toilet home.

Combined with high quality owner supplied fixtures and fittings and interior design the finished home is a testament to the design and build team on this project.
