The site for the home was a steep narrow triangular shape posing quite a challenge both from a design & construction point of view.
The client wanted the home to have an alpine feel & sit comfortably into the site following the fall of the land. They also wanted to capture the mountain views to the North as well as capitalising on the Eastern view to a man made lake. The Replica Homes design achieved all this.
Cedar was selected for the exterior cladding with a dark grey color-steel roof which blends well with the forest behind. A large wall of window under a pitched gable focuses on the mountain which can also be viewed from the mezzanine. The lake can be viewed from a large picture window in the kitchen.
