Extensively damaged in the February earthquake, the rebuild of this three level home has been a labour of love for it’s owners Malcolm and Margaret.  The site is extremely tight and poor soil conditions have meant protection and shoring of the site and rigorous Health and Safety measures have been of paramount importance.

Cladding is Hebel lightweight concrete panel and plaster on block with a lightweight metal roof replacing the original heavy tiles.  Only minor tweaks have been made to the original layout, mainly to take maximum advantage of the stunning views across to Mt Cook.  A lift has also been added and the stair layout improved to make it more accessible and allow the owners to enjoy the home for many more years to come.
