This substantial 480m2 home was constructed in 2007 and badly damaged in the February 2011 earthquake rendering it uninhabitable.

Repairs to the house included reconstruction of the 3m high main retaining wall to the bottom of the property, partial reconstruction of the mid floor blockwork, crack repairs to floors and walls, full re-plaster to the exterior and complete interior repair and redecoration.

Access to the retaining wall was difficult due to damage to the lane below however with the assistance of our team of subcontractors a solution was found by accessing via the steep neighbouring section.

Designed and repaired in consultation with the insurer, project management office, engineer and the homeowner, this project has to be one of the earthquake repair success stories.
